Tag 6: Obernzell - Mitterkirchen

This morning I set off at around 7:50 a.m. after a quick breakfast in the guest house that runs the campsite. As the sat nav showed, today's route was very flat and easy to ride.

Today's destination was Mitterkirchen via the Danube loop, Linz and Mauthausen. It's a small village, but it has a nice guesthouse in a superbly renovated farm. I decided to sleep in a bed for one night and take it easy on my back. After showering (I was completely covered in small mosquitoes that were caught in my arm hair that was covered in sunscreen) I cycled to a small lake for swimming.

The weather has been really great so far! Pure sunshine, hardly a cloud in the sky.
