Actually, we were expecting another hot and increasingly humid day with temperatures of over 30 degrees. Since a high risk of thunderstorms was predicted for the afternoon, it was clear that we would leave early again. But surprisingly, it had already started raining during the night and in the morning we were greeted by a cloudy sky. The weather forecast promised us that this condition would only last for a short time and that the promised sun would come out late in the morning. Far from it, after we set off relatively dry, it started raining more and more after half an hour. What started as a harmless summer rain then became heavier and heavier, and that at a muggy warm 24 to 25 degrees. We had to put on our jackets, but left out the rest of the rain protection and also stayed in shorts. We didn't see anything worth mentioning on the way considering the rain. The road led us for kilometers along a decommissioned railway line. After 93 kilometers, we arrived in Sangerhausen, the city of roses, around 3 PM.
