TAG 10 CURACAO
Curacao is the largest of the 3 ABC islands (160,000 inhabitants) with a length of 60 km and a width of 15 km, and world famous for the Curacao liqueur! Since 1997, the old town of Willemstad with its approximately 750 candy-colored houses has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site!
Plan: Today we want to explore the country and its people with a rental car, take a swim and look for flamingos!
A successful day today.... Found flamingos and sea turtles!!
At 8:30 quickly went off the ship to pick up the rental car, everything went quickly and smoothly! We then drove about 35 km through the national park to the beach and took advantage of the break between 2 AIDA buses .... like in an aquarium, but with some large turtles!
Next we went to Grote Knip Beach, but there were 2 buses, so we immediately went to the Small Knip Beach! After that, we saw flamingos in the wild and then went snorkeling at Ca Abao Beach! Then it was enough, refueling was a problem, so we returned the car as it was and paid $15, no problem! We then visited Willemstad on foot with its beautiful street art paintings and the Dutch bridge! For dinner, and maybe go back to the illuminated city, because we only leave at 11:30 PM!
