Rain in the desert

We unexpectedly had to stay in Ludlow, a small town in the middle of nowhere, due to a storm.

As a 'reward', we decided to treat ourselves to a real American breakfast at the café the next morning. On our way there, we met a very nice older couple from Tucson, whom we immediately got along with.

They reserved a table for us at the café next to them and even insisted on treating us to breakfast. We were deeply touched.

The two of them were around 90 years old, and they said that they had been invited like this on their numerous travels before. They just want to pass it on to others. This has been the most beautiful experience of our vacation so far.
