We enjoyed the cool water in the hotel pool for a bit and then it was time to leave the city life behind and head into nature. Zion National Park was our next destination. In the national park, it is not allowed to drive with your own car. So we took the shuttle bus, enjoyed the scenery passing by and rode until the last station, which was half an hour away from the Visitor Center. We went for a little walk. Along the river, winding through the gorge, past brown to orange-red sandstone giants towering here. The twilight slowly set in. We walked back to the bus station and the bus driver explained that this was the last bus for the day. Luckily, we made it. According to our watch, we still had an hour left and wanted to get off at more stations. But now it was already pitch dark and we had to realize that the clocks in Utah were one hour ahead compared to this morning in Nevada. So we closed the doors in the national park and drove to our accommodation in Kanab.
