After taking a detour to Tenerife and Amrum, it is continuing now. After much consideration, I have decided to go on a guided round trip through Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Panama.... After a long and tiring flight, I met my travel group... It mostly consists of couples of mixed ages. After enduring 2.5 hours of traffic in San Jose, we finally arrived late at the first hotel, and after 3 beers, I was completely exhausted in bed, eagerly anticipating the next few days... The next day, we set off at 8 o'clock in the morning towards the volcano and rainforest..... After a short walk along the crater rim and a lunch, we drove another 4 hours to our resort, which is located in the middle of the rainforest. Here, I am now staying alone in a room with 3 beds, a terrace, and a view of the rainforest. This resort is truly beautifully situated. It is now 4:30 AM here, and due to the time difference, I can't find any sleep. At 8 o'clock, we continue with a hike. In the afternoon, we will go rafting, which unfortunately I cannot participate in due to my back problems, which will hopefully come to an end soon... The landscape here is truly impressive. Unfortunately, it has been raining incessantly since we arrived at the resort, even though the rainy season has not yet started. So I will dress in rain gear later and venture into the rainforest mud... I'm not quite sure yet if group travel is really for me, as it limits you quite a bit, you always have to get up early and rarely stay in one place for long, but that remains to be seen.. The landscape is definitely impressive, and I'm already looking forward to new experiences today.... Now, my back just needs to fully recover....
