Well, today was the day. At some point, you suddenly want to go home. We have seen so much! Actually, we wanted to visit Windsor Castle today, but last night we realized that we would already be in Dover in the afternoon and why wait until the next morning to take the ferry?

And this morning we just wanted to go home. We skipped Windsor Castle as well, we have seen so many castles, this one didn't matter anymore and we just wanted to go home.

So we spontaneously went straight to the ferry and of course we had to reschedule. We left Dover at 1.45 pm English time. The white cliffs of Dover smiled at us one more time in the sunshine.

What a great trip! I definitely have to see Scotland again. With a little more time, to go hiking and also a little more time for Edinburgh. We completely skipped Glasgow and I also have to go to the Outer Hebrides!

The weather was so benevolent to us, the colors, the landscape, the nice people. The three of us did everything really well and even though we had an extensive sightseeing program and drove about 3000 kilometers, it never got stressful!

Goodbye Scotland/England. Definitely not forever!
