Arrival in Chiang Mai

Day 21 (27.03.2023)

The bus ride was shorter than expected, so we were already at the bus station in Chiang Mai in the north of Thailand at 6:30 a.m. without a plan. A Grab took us to our hostel (BB House Budget & Boutique). Luckily, we were able to check in around 7:30 a.m. and go back to sleep. At 10:30 a.m., we set off to have breakfast and explore the city.

First, we wanted to go shopping, but it was not successful. At the markets, it's easy to lose track, and the quality didn't meet our expectations. So, we initially went back to the hostel to replan our day.

After a creative thinking break, we went to the Nimman neighborhood, which is like the hipster district of Chiang Mai. We walked through the streets, went to the rooftop of a shopping mall (Maya), and then ate at the Kao Soy Nimman restaurant based on Rebecca's recommendation. The Khao Soi, which is very popular here, was very good. Except for the mosquitoes, Kao Soy Nimman is highly recommended.

In the evening, we returned to the hostel and ended the day with a few episodes of trash TV.
