From Nidda to Obernburg

This morning it was cooler, but sunny again. Shortly after 8 o'clock we sat on our bikes and rode a long way in the morning sun on good, quiet paths through the Nidda Valley. Then there were three short but decent climbs, especially the first one was challenging. It shouldn't have been a meter longer, otherwise we would have had to get off. But that was it for today, because afterwards we went downhill towards the Main river and mainly moved along the river on the Main bike path to our destination Obernburg. On the way there, we first rode through Erlensee. There we made a spontaneous visit to Reiner and Monika, old friends of mine whom we met over 20 years ago while skiing. We were treated in the garden with apple spritzer, coffee and cake. Unfortunately, time was limited as we still had over 50 km ahead of us at that point. However, they were quickly covered, thanks to the lack of inclines and, for the first time on the tour, a tailwind, so that we arrived in Obernburg in the afternoon.
