Tag 9 - Tainan

Today we visited a beautiful and large temple called Baohu. On the way there, we needed to refuel but couldn't find a gas station. During the drive, I had said that we didn't need to refuel yet and we could do it on the way back. So we specifically searched for a gas station using Google Maps and found one with some detours. After filling up the car, we had to drive back a bit to reach the temple. It was impressively large and had many floors. The green roof tiles provided a great view from the top.

After the temple visit, we returned the rental car in Taichung and took the HSR train to Tainan, which took about 1 hour. Our hotel has a rooftop swimming pool, but it's very windy and the water is not very warm 😂.

In the city, we visited the Confucius Temple (now a museum) and walked along a small but beautiful pedestrian street with nice shops, coffee houses, and small temples. Then we took an Uber taxi to the supposedly amazing and large Night Garden Market. Here, we tried banana crepes, oyster omelettes, barbecue corn on the cob, and rice with chicken.
