Today, we were almost shocked: what is out there??? So quiet and so bright?? Sun??? Actually! :) Beautiful sunny weather all day long. We set off early, but not before we had breakfast on the beach with coffee, pastries, cheese, and ham :) It's nice to be alone on the beach. After that, we went to the Plitvice Lakes and the associated national park.
On the way, we stopped several times because of the beautiful view, refueled with cheese, bought beer (a small six-pack), or who knows what. By the way, Lidl has a security service here... and apparently, Austrians are very suspicious in Croatia, he followed us through the whole store; even to the cash register ;)
Today we were lazy for a change ;) we just briefly looked around the area, climbed up the watchtower, visited water mills, and had to avoid herds of sheep who wanted to take the whole path for themselves..
After that, we sat in front of Johann, petted stray dogs, and watched the new neighbors looking for a spot... and we were amazed that you can have the best, coolest spot with grass, trees, sun, shade, and plenty of space so that everyone can have their peace, but doesn't have to... and yet, quite a few people like to line up right at the entrance on the concrete or gravel area... and I want to emphasize again: NO, they were not only Germans! I specifically checked! ;)
Tomorrow we are going to the park to admire the lakes, which are among the first UNESCO protected things ever. So if that's not worth seeing, what is?
