The whole day is sunny and clear.
Today is our last day on Senja. We take a tip from Harald and drive towards Skaland by car and bike. Before that, we take a break in Ersfjord to go hiking and find a beautiful beach where some campers are having breakfast in the sun.
We walk about a kilometer on the road towards the tunnel, but we can't find the entrance to the hike. The slope seems impassable.
At the parking lot, we come up with the idea of creating a calendar of the remarkable and architecturally extraordinary toilet cabins at Norwegian rest areas.
We also pass by the viewpoint Tungeneset, near where our hosts have a summer cabin, in a very beautiful location.
The bike tour from Skaland to Bøvær always runs along the coast, there are again many beautiful beaches, at the end of the hilly road we find the Kråkeslott, a cultural center where concerts take place and which is also a café in the summer.
It is beautifully located on an island, we can continue to admire it during our lunch break.
In the evening we start packing, after being spoiled by Ingrid and Harald with Norwegian pastries - Lefse.
At around 10:00 p.m., we go out of town again to a rest area by the fjord to be able to observe the full moon without any disturbing lights. That works well, it is very bright and outshines the starry sky in the south.
In addition, we are surprised by the Northern Lights, which illuminate the northern and eastern sky!
Gondula discovers that she can see the Northern Lights better with her good mood sunglasses (yellow tint) than with the naked eye. We feel like the Adams Family, who always celebrate their parties during a full moon.
