Hello dear ones!
This morning we set off on the circular hike right after breakfast. We found that it passed right by our motorhome, which made it unnecessary to move. Plus, we were able to start in the middle and tackle the ascent right at the beginning, later it was all downhill. The trail was simply amazing! Although only 2.2 kilometers long, it followed a river with exciting extras: a cave to pass through and a cool suspension bridge. At the top, the hike passed through the village of 'Castril'. Really beautiful to see! Narrow alleyways with white houses... We are truly impressed! But see for yourself with the pictures, we took a lot of them :)
After the circular hike, we continued through the 'Sierra de Cazorla' National Park to our destination 'Cueva del Agua'. The route was indescribable! Anyone who has been to a national park knows that driving there is completely different... No road barriers, noise barriers, or anything like that
and visibility as far as the eye can see. Once we arrived at our destination, we had to go down 150 stairs, but once we reached the bottom, it felt like we were somewhere, but certainly not in Europe! A huge waterfall was flowing, drops were falling from the ceiling, and the walls had very special shapes and colors. An amazing sight! There were candles on the wall everywhere and flowers were placed... However, we couldn't imagine how someone could have had an accident there. Possibly a climber? But even attaching memoirs requires a certain knowledge of climbing....
After exploring everything there, we climbed the 150 stairs back up to our camper. Kevin found a parking spot 1h30min away from there. We set off and realized just before we reached our destination that we hardly have any food left. We looked for a supermarket, drove through very narrow alleyways only to find closed doors... They take such a long lunch break! We wanted to try somewhere else, but I entered the address wrong in my GPS... We drove 20 minutes in the wrong direction, which was back again! And, you won't believe it... This supermarket was closed too!!! We reached our overnight spot at 16:30. Simply AWESOME! Later on, we went out again to do some shopping - now we have hamburgers meat :D
Right now we are sitting outside, overlooking the lake, in the background you can still see the national park, and the radio is playing country music. All while enjoying a glass of wine and later the well-deserved burger :)
Yep.... Slowly but surely, we are really starting to love this gypsy life!
Oh, one more highlight of today: We have been on the road for exactly 2500km and our baby is still running - yes, we are calling our camper our 'baby' :D
So, from here it is still 2h45min to Seville. Tomorrow we will drive about 2h15min in that direction so that we won't have far to go on Wednesday. However, we don't want to get too close to the city... Big cities are never good for motorhomes...
So, stay tuned and find out tomorrow where we ended up ;)
See you then!
PS: Pictures will follow tomorrow ;)
