Hach, Sydney! During my time in Australia, I spent a few weeks here and was excited to be back.
During a walk on the Harbour Bridge, we had an amazing view of the city center and the Opera House. But it was so windy that we almost got blown away. Funny enough, we saw people in dirndls and lederhosen everywhere in the city. The Oktoberfest fever seems to have spread to Australia too! ;-)
On the weekend, we visited a large flea market in Glebe, which takes place every Saturday. In the evening, we went to a hardcore concert in the city center, where I met up with my friend Marie. I met her in Australia in 2017 and I was thrilled to see her again.
We spent our last two nights together in the small motel in Terrigal, where Lars and Tanja had been working for the past ten weeks. Their former employers, a super nice older Australian couple, provided us with a free room. So we could really rest, cook delicious meals, and do our laundry and sorting, which was much needed...
We went whale watching and enjoyed the sunset on the beach a few times with friends of Lars and Tanja who also come from our area and took over the job in Terrigal.
The week went by way too fast and we had to say goodbye with a heavy heart.
Next stop: Auckland!
