... woke up in Florence

To start my travel impressions, there is something incredible: all the trains were on time. The three-women's sleeping compartment (including a tiny washroom) was sparkling clean, the service excellent and the welcome gift of slippers (?), drinks, towel and earplugs was surprising. I would have liked to have been rocked in this compartment for longer, because arriving in Florence brought this miracle to an abrupt end. Bad signage in the station, baggage claim still closed, no place to sit. So I sat down with the bums on the park bench with my ÖBB inclusive breakfast package. Not robbed and finally without my backpack, I made my way to the old town. There: crowds of people. My only option was to escape to the museum and to a magnificent exhibition by Anselm Kiefer. That alone is worth a trip here.
