The day started again with a bit of breakfast, but we weren't very hungry after the big dinner yesterday and the dumplings were constantly bothered by wasps 🙈
Then we headed to Limone 🍋 Since we had to go to the other side of the lake and couldn't find a suitable ferry, we decided to drive the whole way by car. Time-wise, the ferry wouldn't have made much of a difference either 😅⛴️
The drive took a while because there were always people in front of us who apparently couldn't drive a car and were driving 20km/h below the speed limit 🙄🤦🏼♀️
But we made it and parked directly at the harbor in the parking garage. In general, the prices for parking spaces are totally reasonable 🅿️
From the harbor, small alleys wind through the city. They definitely know how to market the city name, because one shop, with lemon products, printed textiles and ceramics, limoncello and more, lines up after the next 🍋🍋🍋
But the city itself is also very beautiful to look at, but like everything at Lake Garda, it's crowded with (especially German) tourists 🤷🏼♀️😅 We were so caught up in the moment that we completely forgot to take pictures. Oops 🙈😇
After the little shopping tour, we went to the beach, which we survived without getting sunburned. Thanks to the beach shelter, which we can now set up like pros 😌 The water was still relatively cold, but after a few minutes it was fine 🌊🏖
After 10 minutes of sun from every side, we went back into the shade of the beach shelter and played chess and 'Nochmal'. I lost both times 🥲
Then it was slowly time to go back to the parking garage and head home. Near the top of Lake Garda, there was a mini golf course ⛳️, where we stopped to play a round. That way we could also avoid the heavy traffic and the congestion. 🚗
Besides mini golf, you could also play pit pat there. Super cool game that my dad always talks about. I've never been able to play it myself because it's almost impossible to find, but today was the day. It's set up like mini golf, with a starting point, obstacles, and a hole, only on tables. And the balls are played with a cue. Suuuuper cool 😍 But I lost both times here too 😂🤷🏼♀️
With fewer cars on the road, we really headed towards the hotel, almost all the way along the lake. Simply beautiful 😍🙈
We had dinner again at the hotel because Finni wanted to have the lamb shank. The menu is not very extensive, so I had to think about it and ordered the house's fried fish. The lack of a side dish made me suspicious, so I ordered one anyway, and even when I asked, I only got the answer that it is fish from the sea and delicious. Well, they were fried seafood, so shrimp, small calamari rings, and small squids 🦐🐙Those who know me know that I absolutely don't like that 🥴😳 <-- my expression when the plate arrived.
I ate a few shrimp and then traded with my sweetheart. But I felt sorry for him because he actually wanted to eat the shank. I had lost my appetite a bit, so I didn't eat much of it so that he would still have some 🥰
I also dared to eat a small octopus, it wasn't really nice and the thought still makes me shudder. But we didn't dare to eat the slightly larger ones. Why do people eat that? 😂😅
Since we only had breakfast today and not much of it, we also had a cheese plate and tiramisu for dessert 🧀🙈
We've already packed now, we'll look around a bit more and then the last night in Italy will soon begin. Tomorrow we'll head back to Germany, but first to Ravensburg and then home ❤️
