Monserate - the most famous church in Bogota

Religious affairs continued the next day as well. Nici, a student from Finland, and I also went to Monserate. It is a church on one of the highest mountains surrounding Bogota. Being sporty and ambitious, we wanted to hike up the mountain. However, we underestimated the altitude. After all, Bogota is located at 3000 meters and hiking was not that easy. But ultimately, we made it to the top just in time, as bad weather was approaching. At the top of the mountain, many small stands sold cheese with syrup. It may sound strange at first, and it is, but it doesn't taste that bad. ;)

After a short refreshment, we took the cogwheel train down to the valley in Bogota.
