We start day 10 in Devonport and visit the Mersey Bluff Lighthouse. It's quite cloudy and windy, but still warm. We continue driving to Latrobe and make a short stop there. It's supposed to be a historical place, but it doesn't impress us much. By chance, we go into the store Religuaire, which is a mix of gift shop, toy store, and exhibition space. There's a small exhibition about Alice in Wonderland, one about dinosaurs, and a spooky room. We grab a sandwich for the ride and continue on to Launceston. By now, I'm getting really good at driving on the left side of the road. Since we sometimes don't have network, we need someone who can navigate. So, I drive because my sense of direction isn't as good as Dennis'. Sometimes, I accidentally turn on the windshield wipers when signaling because in right-hand drive cars, the turn signal is on the right and the windshield wipers are on the left.
In Launceston, we visit the harbor and downtown. Finally, we make a detour to the city's amusement park and then continue on to St. Marys. St. Marys is a very small town with less than 800 residents. We explore the town a bit and finish quickly due to its small size. Luckily, our hotel has a restaurant because there's no other opportunity to get something to eat in the town.
