Tag 1: Direction Slovenia

8:48 point: Departure in Linz, this journey begins. Our first destination was Ljubljana, which we reached after a journey time of 5 3/4 hours via Salzburg and Villach. This first train journey flew by. Once we arrived, we started exploring the old town with our backpacks on.

Our accommodation for the first 2 nights was located slightly outside, about a 1-hour walk from the old town. To gather more impressions of Ljubljana, we decided to walk this path on the first evening. Apart from mopeds on the bicycle path, this walk unfortunately wasn't very exciting. We only organized our accommodation two days in advance through the room platform Airbnb, which arranges accommodations with private individuals. We were greeted very warmly and the host had already written down information about sightseeing and food for us. There was even a bottle of sloe liqueur waiting for us on the kitchen table - very delicious! The apartment was very clean, the room cozy, and we were allowed to use the kitchen where we cooked spaghetti with spring onions, bell peppers, and tomato sauce for dinner. Already slightly exhausted, we went to bed at the end of the day and quickly fell asleep.
