Hello Singapore

As promised, here comes the second report from afar.

There are almost 11,000 km between you dear ones at home and me here in Singapore.

As soon as I arrived at the airport, there was already a little problem. At the immigration checkpoint, the gentlemen did not want to accept my entry papers because my last name was written everywhere with 'oe' on the papers, but my name in the passport is correctly spelled with 'ö'. So I had to go directly to the office, take a seat, and do a fingerprint comparison. Surprisingly, I was the right Stefanie Hörenz, who would have thought.

But everything else went smoothly. Both pieces of luggage found their way to me and the agent who was supposed to pick me and a few others up was already there.

However, I did get a shock when I came out of the airport. 30 degrees and very high humidity, that was very exhausting.

The path to the hotel took about half an hour - Singapore wow. Huge and at least what I have seen, very clean and tidy.

In the hotel, I met the first of my new colleagues. At first glance, all very nice. Two of them are already in their third season and I stuck with them for the rest of the evening, which was very useful because they are already familiar with Singapore.

I have already attached some first impressions for you.

It is almost 1:00 for us now and I should slowly go to sleep, the agent who will take us to the ship will arrive at 7:00 - yes, and then it will really start.

Now that I am lying in bed here, I am gradually starting to think again. So far, I couldn't think clearly because of all the impressions and excitement. I am very curious about what the next half a year has in store for me. There will certainly be many unpleasant moments, but I just hope that the many beautiful moments will fade them away.

In any case, I have the best friends at home ever. My roommate only sent a brief message to her mom that she arrived. And no one else. That's just sad.
