After some minor errands, we left on time and headed towards Wolin, right on the German-Polish border. We actually wanted to go to the bison reserve there. Unfortunately, the bisons were closed on Mondays... They deserve their day off. Instead, we had a great forest walk with Siggi. After that, we drove along the sea on tiny country roads, passing through almost endless small villages and beautiful landscapes, until we reached Trzesaczu. Highlight: A church that had fallen into the sea... At least that's what the travel guide said. Besides a foundation wall still standing on top of the dune, there wasn't much left to see, but the view over the Baltic Sea beach was all the more beautiful. After a short stopover, we continued straight to Ustka and set up our tent on a small campsite. The weather is fantastic! The sun is shining and it's wonderfully warm. Our program for today: the sea and the largest sand dune in Europe! We are excited.
