Introduction

I, Ben, 19 years old from Hamburg, am embarking on a journey to Russia and Asia together with Tom, also 19 years old from Hamburg, a good friend and former classmate of mine.

Our journey begins in Hamburg, where we will take a flight to Moscow. From there, we will truly begin our journey by taking the Trans-Siberian Railway, with stops in Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, and Ulan-Bator, before arriving in Beijing. From Beijing, we will continue our journey by train to Shanghai, Baoji, Nanning, and Hanoi. From Hanoi, the motto for this trip is to go with the flow and see where it takes us, everything will work out somehow...

However, we do have a rough plan for the rest of our journey:

We will travel by train through Vietnam and Cambodia to Thailand, and from there take a flight to Nepal. Starting from Nepal, we will then travel across India by train to Mumbai, the final destination of our trip, and maybe even back to Hamburg from there.
