We have been here on Pag for 11 days now - and we have already extended our stay 4 times 🤣. The weather is great, between 26 and 28 degrees ☀️. We feel so comfortable at this campsite! We spontaneously declared it our new favorite spot 😍.
There is even a small petting zoo here, with goats, donkeys, horses, pigs... I looked a bit surprised when a pot-bellied pig 🐖 crossed our path towards the pitches on the way from the reception 😳. But my excited report at the reception only resulted in a calm dismissal: "It escapes sometimes...". "Sometimes" is good, the pig casually walks across the campsite every day 🤣. She encountered our neighbor 🐷on her way to the washroom in the morning, and she (the camper 😉) was quite startled, still half asleep 😂. And another camper told me that the turkeys 🦃 🦃 sat in the tree at his site 😂. He thought he had smoked something 🤣.
So our two 😼😺 are not the only crazy animals here!
The island of Pag itself doesn't have much to offer. On the side facing the mainland, it's like a lunar landscape, just bare rock. There are only 2 larger towns: the island capital Pag (which we have planned to visit this week) and Novalja, where we are now. Novalja is apparently the party capital 🎤🎧🍻🍹 in the main season, but luckily we don't notice any of that now in September! Two supermarkets and a run-down shopping center are enough to meet our needs for things and food.
