Our village is well known for stormy days. Strong wind is nothing unusual. I have often woken up in the morning because it was so windy and my tent was shaking. Today, however, it is a bit windier. Sometime before sunrise, it started storming and raining. No one really took it seriously because it happens often. Everyone had breakfast as usual and got ready for work. But today, the gusts are really strong. So strong that we couldn't go to school, we didn't know if it was safe to work today, several tents flew away, and my tent was additionally secured with steel reinforcement bars by Bijay and Sitaram. So my tent is safe, unless it tears. At least it was waterproof all day. Just not dustproof and everything is now dusty. But well, apart from the wind and occasional rain, it wasn't really dramatic. We just couldn't work today and spent the morning all together in our large community tent. That's our biggest enclosed space. But it was nice, we made music, played cards, watched movies, read, had tea and snacks. After lunch, we might have started working normally. The wind stopped too. The rain didn't. And it's cold today. So we had a construction meeting in the afternoon. We talked about the construction and technical details of all three school projects. What we have achieved so far and what remains to be done. That was good too, usually we have little time for such things.
The only downside today is that on Wednesday evenings, all the people from the village who work for us usually come with their families, we eat and celebrate together. Unfortunately, that had to be canceled because of the weather.
Tomorrow we want to work normally again. We'll see.
