Hello,
Rubbel was the best taxi driver and friend who took us to the airport. Both flights were great, had absolutely no problems and landed with full stomachs.
At the airport in Sri Lanka, we found a taxi driver who, however, did not drive us himself, but presumably his driving student. After driving 5 km in completely the wrong direction to 'giling giling', after getting lost 5 times and pointing out that we were wrong 10 times, we reached the hotel in Dambulla.
We didn't like Dambulla at all. The hotel was nice, but completely empty.
After arriving, we immediately set off to see the 2,100-year-old Buddhas, and after a short break by the pool, we went to Lion Rock. It was great.
The next morning we set off early to Kandy.
Best regards
Postscript: We like animals. The easiest thing would be to go to Pinawalla first. The elephants live there in captivity. We didn't want to support that, even though we would have loved to see elephants in the river and bathe with them. The reviews are really catastrophic (especially because they are so abused)
