Actually, I thought my next few days would not be very exciting. But it always turns out differently than you think 😂. I am currently in the small town of Port Alfred. I chose the only hostel in town as my accommodation (Wanderlust Adventure). At first, I wasn't sure if three nights in this small town would be too much and it would be boring. Luckily, that didn't happen 😃. The reason for that is that I was the only guest in the hostel 😂. What initially sounds a bit strange turned out to be a real stroke of luck. The couple who runs the hostel took really good care of me the past few days. For example, they accompanied me to the beach, joined me for dinner in the evenings, and we did a beer tasting together. I also had the opportunity to try a Kudu steak for the first time in my life (Kudus are a type of antelope) and it was incredibly delicious (or 'lekker' as they say in Afrikaans). It was also nice yesterday afternoon when I spontaneously got to drive Kevin's car (the owner). You really have to get used to driving on the left side but I didn't have any accidents and was always on the right side of the road 😂. Of course, it's also a bit strange to have a whole hostel completely to yourself but thanks to the kind and super hospitable owners, it was a truly great stay 😃. Tonight, I'm heading to Port Elizabeth... or to say it in a cool way, to PE 😎.
