The entrance itself is impressive, surrounded by mountains, the bus makes its way through the mountains to Mostar.
With a 6-hour stay in this city, which I only know from the Balkan war, we head towards the old town and the accompanying Old Bridge. Passing countless ruins and houses riddled with bullet holes (as seen in the picture with the I ❤️ Mostar sign), a very beautiful old town begins to emerge from what seems like a very typical Eastern Bloc sight.
Something strange is happening in my stomach when walking around here. I don't know if one can feel what happened here...? Anyway, I'm glad as we board the train and head to Sarajevo.
After the few hours of stay, I have to say:
The contrast between Hvar and Mostar but also within Mostar itself, between the old town and the other part, is really intense.
