Fort de La Turra

Our breakfast was this time high up at 2000 m at the starting point of our tour to Fort de La Turra and beyond. Unfortunately, the weather didn't play along at first and it was bitterly cold. So we decided to strengthen ourselves in the car. This time we had the GoPro (or a new mount, which is still in Wels) with us and hopefully we can provide you with even more beautiful impressions of our tours. The cold quickly faded away and many flies accompanied us on our first ascent to the fort. Once we reached the top, we were amazed by the incredible scenery that awaited us. After a few photos and granola bars, we set off again.

Despite several inquiries from Stefanie about how long the downhill would still last and if we were on the right track (according to our tour plan, we had to drive down a section we had already driven before:)), we had a lot of fun on the first descent.

The rest of the ascent consisted of easy forest roads with a pleasant gradient, then changed to beautiful plateau rides and ended with a difficult and far reaching single trail to the highest point.

We went down a trail that was so much fun that Mini got a flat tire. After a short sausage break, the rest of the tour could be completed without any problems. Great descent!

Exhausted, we changed camping spots twice. At the first one, we had 38 °C. We decided for more altitude. New spot with a beautiful view of the Meije Glacier where we were allowed to stay for one night.
