Dorrigo Rainforest & Byron Bay

6:30 AM, this time even a quarter of an hour earlier for breakfast and check-out. Shortly after, we were on our way to the 'Crystal Shower Falls' in the rainforest. Unfortunately, rain was also expected today. It has been raining since last night, and unfortunately, it will continue for the next 2 days.

Nevertheless, it was a very beautiful walk through the rainforest, and the birds greeted us with a serenade. On the way back, I took a walk across a bridge and then I met Agnes from the group. The others were behind us, and I wanted to take the left path, while Agnes said the right path was correct... I didn't want to argue. So these trees didn't look familiar to me, and suddenly we were on the wrong track. Luckily, there's Google Maps, and we arrived at a different viewpoint. And luckily, I have a SIM card and was able to inform the group to pick us up at the other point 😅.

Together, we then drove to Byron Bay and enjoyed the view at the lighthouse. Afterwards, we checked into the hotel briefly, and then went to an Organic Farm. Here, a delicious organic BBQ awaited us at a fire, and I tried kangaroo for the first time. They are not only cute but also delicious 🙈.

Tomorrow, the alarm won't ring 😃, a day off in Byron Bay, and unfortunately not beach weather. But since I'm already getting wet from above, I booked a surf lesson, at 15 degrees 🥶. Hopefully, there will be a thick wetsuit and no sharks 🦈...
