Difficult job search.

18th-21st April 2019

18th April 2019: I sat in the library for six hours straight to catch up on the blog and get my alcohol service certification in Australia. After these six hours without a break, my brain was completely fried and I was just looking forward to dinner and then ultimate frisbee. I was so motivated in the evening that I ran around a lot and exhausted myself.

19th April 2019: Breakfast and then moved from the hostel again. I had success on Couchsurfing again. So I took the bus to another neighborhood. Here I had my own little room. We cooked together and talked.

20th April 2019: After breakfast, we went shopping. A big shopping trip because we were traveling by car. At Woolworths, I also bought a new SIM card with a better price-performance ratio than Aldi. The number porting only took five minutes! And that on a Saturday between Good Friday and Easter. In Germany, it's always a lengthy process. Apply and then you usually get some porting date in the next two weeks.

At noon, I was allowed to use Dean's laptop. I applied for a few jobs. The whole thing is not easy. Even at the Australian branch of Burger King, they want work experience.

21st April 2019: A mix of watching series and sending job applications. I also sent a voice message with greetings from Australia to my cousin, which she played for all the relatives. The maternal part of the family always gets together on Easter Sunday for a meal and I wished each and every one of them a happy Easter through the voice message. Afterwards, they toasted to me and I got a picture of it. My homesickness came out a bit more, but now I knew that I was being thought of. I was happy.
