Baby shark alarm at Koh Ha and Koh Rok

Rakabudiswa: 25.10.2019

When I was planning my trip, I was thinking about many adventures and special moments that I would experience, but swimming with sharks, I really didn't think about that. Although I intended to go snorkeling and explore the underwater world of Thailand's paradise islands, I did not expect this truly unique experience. Through my hotel in Koh Lanta, I booked the excursion to the islands Koh Ha and Koh Rok, two small dreamlike islands in the Andaman Sea. Clear, turquoise blue water, beautiful coral reefs, powdery white sandy beaches, and rare monitor lizards - all of this was promised to me by the excursion flyer and at the end also delivered. But what fascinated me the most was my underwater experience with the infamous hunters of the oceans, even if instead of the intimidating, large sharks, it was only the baby sharks. I would almost describe them as cute, but I still had a lot of respect for them and naturally kept some distance while observing them. I can hardly describe the feeling of swimming with them. To be able to experience something like this once is really something special for me. One of the stories that I may also tell my children and grandchildren later on. Unfortunately, I didn't have an underwater camera with me, but I do have some photos of the beautiful islands for you.
