Day 8 Wellington

Rakabudiswa: 03.11.2017

After feeling a little sick for one or two days, today is a day of rest. Bad weather is forecasted for the north, so it's an ideal day for traveling. At the gas station, I check everything on the second VW bus. With the first one, the check was done right at pick-up. The oil level is so low that it cannot be seen on the dipstick. So I pour in two liters and then it's perfect. It's the reason why I wanted a VW bus and not a Toyota or something else. I'm familiar with it.

And it runs great. The roads are easy to drive and it gets really hot around noon. The sun comes out and the landscape changes. A kind of Allgäu crater landscape is replaced by cow pastures and green meadows like in northern Germany. At 7 pm, I'm just before Wellington and buy something to eat at the supermarket. After that, I go to the freedom camping spot in the suburb of Wellington that I have chosen. After a day of driving again, I am rewarded with an incredible sunset. Today, I go to bed very early, the alarm clock will ring at 5:30 am.
