28.11.2016:

After not contacting you for a whole month, partly because I had a lot going on, got sick in between, and simply forgot.

So what have I been up to in the meantime?

- I was alone at home with my kids for a week while my host parents flew to the USA. However, there was a babysitter for the time I was at school and at night, and a former au pair one day on the weekend. Unfortunately, I have to say that it actually made more work for me...

- I guarded the front door on Halloween and diligently handed out treats to all the kids who came by. That was really new to me because at home we never had so many kids coming by and I have never experienced houses decorated so extremely.

- Last weekend, I went to Glendalough with a few friends from my language school, a national park with a lake surrounded by trees in the most amazing autumn colors.

- Almost the same group and I climbed Killiney Hill the day before yesterday, which is located in the south of Dublin and offers a good view of the surrounding areas, such as Bray.

- Yesterday, I was in Dun Laoghaire and was at the harbor for the first time, usually I just transfer from the bus to the train there :) There is definitely a market every Sunday, which is half consisting of food stalls! The selection is really diverse. There is everything from burgers to falafel to French pastries and cakes.
