Today it's time for a panoramic drive and aquarium excursion.
We took the bus through the city center of Copenhagen. First stop, 'The Little Mermaid'. It's good that they tell you where she is, she's quite small. Our ride took us through the Nyhavn district, past the Castle, Amalienborg Palace, to King's Square, past some magnificent hotels and the old stock exchange.
Now we have reached our main destination of the day, 'Den Bla Planet' - the Copenhagen Aquarium. It's quite a futuristic building. Fish, seahorses, snails, and turtles. We observed many colorful, beautiful, ugly, fat, thin, big, and small sea creatures. And two chameleons, one of them got quite angry and turned completely black.
Feeding time for the otters. Crabs were frozen in huge blocks of ice. The otters got the whole block to eat. A big challenge, but with wild swimming back and forth, rolling through the water, and tapping the ice block against the glass, the food was finally exposed.
The return journey went through a 6 km long, new and modern district, quickly passing by the City Hall, Tivoli, Christiansborg Palace, and Rosenborg Castle, and back on the ship.
A few eventful hours in Copenhagen.
