Oh, I slept well. Well, I would have slept even better if I had just had a cocktail because they were really strong. But okay. They were delicious. Today, it was all about the beach and pool. First, breakfast. Very delicious. You can choose from different breakfast options here. In Chiang Mai, there were only fried or scrambled eggs. We couldn't stand it anymore. Here, they had that too or fitness breakfast or just fruits or English breakfast or French breakfast. What a selection. Great. Strengthened, we headed to the sun. But be careful, it was a bit windy and the sun wasn't burning hot. Still, be cautious. No more sunburn. We had SPF 30 and applied sunscreen generously. And every time we got out of the pool and dried off, we applied sunscreen again, and before our walk on the beach, we applied sunscreen too. But in the middle of the walk, Vera said I was slowly turning red. So we went back, I put on something and stayed completely under the umbrella to protect myself. But it was too late. What the fuck??? Even in Mallorca, I don't apply sunscreen this many times and nothing ever happened. But when we were back in the room and undressed, we both got a shock. We were both completely burnt. I have no idea how that could happen. Shit. You really have to imagine where the bikini is, pure white, and everything else horribly red. I've never had such a bad sunburn in my entire life. Really. But why didn't the damn sunscreen help? I cursed like a sailor. But of course, it didn't help either. So we went to the pharmacy and spent a whopping €20 on aloe vera gel and burn cream. They really take advantage of people here. After dinner, we covered ourselves from head to toe with the hope that it would somehow help. But Vera couldn't lie on her back and I couldn't lie on my stomach. Terrible. Since then, we've been constantly applying cream whenever possible. Still, we slept wonderfully. But the sun is completely off-limits for at least 2 days now. Damn it! You're in paradise and have to walk around completely covered up. And having a sunburn is not good for your health either. I need to protect myself better. Tomorrow, I need SPF 50.
