Day 9, camera test

Lolomiina: 05.02.2018

Today, Bruno Kernen, who is responsible for the camera movements, and all cameramen have arrived. We had the opportunity to accompany Hannes and test the cable connections to the cameras. All tested cameras had functioning cables - rejoice.

In the meantime, we even had some time to insulate the recesses in the hubs and complete and stabilize the stairs.

The highlight of today in the ski arena was definitely the ride with the lift to the roof of the commentator's booth. We had to shoot up 2 palettes so that the cameraman can look over the high railing. Today, we returned to the accommodation via chair and down to the resort by train. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to ski down as the ski slope is reserved for the groomer machines.

In the evening, we took the bus to the village where the opening ceremony will take place. After a short visit to the Descente shop, we went to a traditional Korean restaurant. The ordering process took a moment because communication was not easy. However, what they presented to us on the table was exactly what we had ordered or we were very lucky. A fine meat soup and then sweet and sour chicken. The side dishes were quite spicy. The fish was a perfect visual treat.
