Day 37, from Nessebar to Varna.


Last day with heavy backpack. Today we started at 9 am, looking for a bakery and coffee. After 2 km, we found one in Nessebar - New Town. After breakfast, we walked a few km along the Sunny Beach by the sea, then we walked several km through the streets and alleys of the hotel landscape in search of a bus station, with the destination of Varna, about 90 km away. Just in time, we reached the bus station before the bus arrived and also got the last 2 seats that were still available.

Oh wie schön ist das Gehen mit bloßen Füßen auf Sand. Keine Dornen, kein Dschungel, kein Verirren. Im Sommer müssen hier Millionen Touristen sein. Jetzt haben die Geister wieder Einzug gehalten. Ein gesamt ästhetisches Konzept gibt es nicht. Besten Falls wird noch vor der eigenen Haustüre gekehrt. Niemand fühlt sich zuständig für den Raum dazwischen.

Only two more nights...

From Cuzco via the La Raya Pass (4323m) to Puno. We visit the floating islands of Uros and then head towards Bolivia. We cross the border on foot and reach Copacobana, where we enjoyed a magnificent view and a wonderful sunset from Calvary Mountain. We continue to the Sun Island, have lunch in the peasant community of Santiago de Okola, and then embark on a 2.5-hour boat trip, which Toni has managed excellently. Afterwards, we reach La Pax by bus. We visit the Witch Market, take a city tour, visit the Valley of the Moon, enjoy a wonderful lunch sponsored by our children, and take a ride on various lines of the Teleférico, making today perfect.
