Roman Ayurveda Lake Resort

Here I am, right in the middle of the mangrove forest by a lake.

I am very impressed by the silence that reigns here.

You walk through the huge entrance gate into the lobby and in front of you opens up a huge lake. Everything is open and spacious.

Concrete and wood dominate. Very simple but somehow sublime.

My room is on the upper floor and is more like a suite. Huge and very luxurious furnished with old, heavy wooden furniture. I can look directly onto the infinity pool below me and have a wonderful view of the lake. In addition, there is a balcony that is thankfully in the shade. On the balcony there is a bathtub that invites me to take a bath. But not today.

I am skipping dinner. Instead, I am served a fruit platter that is wonderfully arranged with sweet and juicy varieties.

Today I just want to take a shower and then fall into bed. It is already 6 p.m. now.
