With the ferry from Hvar we cross over to the mainland to Drvenik. To continue further south, you have to travel through Bosnia for a short coastal section - so, while everyone else just passes through, we (the oldest car in the queue and Ronny's youthful sins from 20 years ago) are pulled out at the border and thoroughly searched!
But then: haven't managed it in so many holidays in Croatia and now finally there - hello Dubrovnik!
Since we are not like the other tourists following the traces of 'Game of Thrones', but at 34°C it still tempts us out of the old town to the beach - the cold water, both in the glass and on the body, was never a bad idea!
For those interested in Croatia's history, there is the opportunity to take the cable car up Mount Srd and visit the 'Homeland War Museum' there.
The museum deals with the siege of Dubrovnik in the years 1991-1992 by the Yugoslav People's Army and the consequences for the city's inhabitants.
Now the journey continues! It remains to be seen whether Montenegro will be as good to us as Croatia!
Thank you beautiful country - see you again!
Finally:
Conclusion Croatia Ronny: 'As an old complainer, there was actually no reason for me to complain in the last 4 weeks. Weather great, stunning nature, car held up, enough beer was drunk and the people were super relaxed again! Hvala Hrvatska, see you soon! Ps: good ideas from me by now: 3'
Conclusion Croatia Katha: 'As always, it was incredibly beautiful - crystal clear water, beautiful bays, best food 🐙, nice people! Only so far definitely too few kittens!!!'
