Conclusion
In the morning, after a good breakfast at Gasthaus Krone (highly recommended and right on the A3), I head towards home.
There are still several kilometers ahead of me - including a stop at the Wertheim Outlet.
After 3355 km, on the 19th day of my tour, I reach my parking space at home in Northern Germany around 6 pm.
Slovenia has impressed me a lot. The coast and the sea are not as beautiful as Croatia, but definitely worth a visit. If you're already down there, a trip for swimming/camping to Istria/Croatia is definitely worth it. Don't forget snorkeling gear. Water shoes make sense - and enjoy.
Ljubljana is a must - one of the smallest and most beautiful capitals in Europe.
Triglav National Park is a dream for anyone who loves nature. There is surely more to discover than I found.
Historically, the national park is interesting, and you can somehow feel that many people lost their lives here in the war for this beautiful piece of nature - shocking and disturbing.
The Soča River, with its splendor, is a wonderful river and an absolute natural experience. Don't forget hiking shoes and a backpack.
You can get by with English and German among the Slovenes. The people are friendly and open.
In the southwest of the country, it is very Mediterranean, in the north and northwest you can feel the influence of Austria and Hungary. Both have their charm!
Mosquitoes - no! - Ticks - no!
Personal highlight - the Soča source!
See you again...
...oh and one more thing: I didn't expect the saying on my shower gel to come true!
Ciao!
