From Cullera - admittedly, that was a wonderful spot, we continue south. Below Valéncia, we want to go to Finca Caravana. A place in the middle of nowhere, but special.
After a detour, due to the coordinates, actually because of the passenger, we find it. No one else is there except us, and Franze, the owner, comes around. It looks crazy, there are old sofas, mannequins, chairs, and stuffed animals scattered around the place. Franze is from Franconia and is happy that we are there!
In the evening, two more mobiles arrive. Other than that, we are alone with the silence and a fabulous starry sky. Almost like in Lassan...
We naturally tell them that we are colleagues and Jürgen has a long business talk with Franze. And ...... he cooks us the legendary paella! Tomorrow evening. Of course we will do it. The paella is very tasty, we enjoy it together with a British couple at the rustic barbecue area under the starry sky. Okay, it's too cold for the starry sky, before it gets really dark, we have to go inside. But it was beautiful!
Today we want to continue towards the sea and south. In Elche, we visit the Jardin Huerto del Cura, a park full of palm trees and cacti! And there is a Sissi palm tree named after the Empress of Austria. Beautiful, and I take many pictures of what my cacti and palm trees should actually look like..... And of course, I couldn't resist taking three small cacti with me. On the way to the motorhome, I explain to them that they have to be very brave now...
Finding a parking spot is difficult. Actually, we wanted electricity and a shower and all that, but EVERYTHING IS FULL! IN FEBRUARY!
We fill up with water at the gas station and find a parking spot right by the sea. Not alone, but still beautiful. And showering again in the car. You wouldn't believe how nice it is to be able to wash!
Tomorrow we will head south. Everything is full......tsk tsk
