3. Stage: Småland

The motto of the day was following in the footsteps of Astrid Lindgren.

First, we visited Katthult Farm and then went directly to Bullerbü. You immediately feel like you're in an Astrid Lindgren book and expect Michel, Ida, Lasse, or Ole to come around the corner at any moment.

I had to wipe a tear of happiness from my eye.

After that, we went to Vimmerby, the birthplace of Astrid. The brilliant writer drew inspiration from here, and in many parts of the city, you feel her stories up close.

The best part comes last. Astrid Lindgren's birthplace with museum and exhibition.

Incredibly impressive and educational.

You could even admire the famous elm that would later become the lemonade tree.

An all-around successful day in Småland.
