The morning started without sun, but it was dry. After breakfast, we had to pack everything up and stack it in the car. The rooftop tent is uncomplicated, but the bed in the van takes a bit of time to set up and take down.
Then we set off and made several stops because there was so much to see.
First, we went to Canal Rocks. It was a rocky bay where the water from the sea was pressed in when big waves came. Looked very spectacular! 😊
Then we went to Sugarloaf Rocks. They are the most photographed attraction in Western Australia... well, okay.. I thought it looked pretty good, but there are certainly nicer places 😜
We had lunch at a beautiful beach where there was also a picnic area.
When we arrived in Margaret River, the weather turned again. We did a short wine tasting there and then looked for a campsite. There weren't too many nearby and we chose one that was supposed to have showers... but it turned out to be only a cold outdoor shower. Plus, it started drizzling, so we had to improvise the evening... We sat and ate and chatted under trees and in the car... We had to skip the shower because it was just too cold. The night was also a bit uncomfortable because it rained and water leaked into the tent...
