Plan change - tropical storm over southern Thailand

It is now 10:45 am here in Bangkok and Mini-me is still in dreamland, yesterday was probably a tough day after all!

So today we were supposed to start our journey to the south. Unfortunately, we are being interrupted by a rather heavy tropical storm that is crossing our plans. It is expected to hit the entire south of Thailand starting today, causing waves up to 5 meters high. This means that we wouldn't be able to board a boat or peacefully enjoy the sun on the beach anyway. Well, luckily I received the warning in time - thanks, Vera!

So, we need to find an alternative, if possible a good one. I think we'll stay in Bangkok for another two days and see how the situation develops, then we can still head south... or not. We'll see.

Ps: even at 30 degrees, Thais put up Christmas trees... quite a sight for us to get used to 😄
