After a wonderfully beautiful vacation in East Tyrol, we decided to pack everything and continue our search for happiness in Carinthia. Unfortunately, the weather forecast for the next few days predicted rain, and we weren't quite sure where we wanted to go.
Since we had always brought our stand-up paddles along in the car, we wanted to put them to use and drove straight to Faak am See, hoping for better weather than elsewhere. There was supposed to be a campsite right by the lake. Upon arrival, Mini wasn't so sure if this was the right place for us. Many 'tourists' with large campers occupied the campsite. The sanitary facilities were mediocre. And the pitch we were assigned was not exactly cozy. On the left and right and everywhere around us, it felt like we were on the island of a roundabout; we set everything up in pouring rain, and the atmosphere was a bit tense. The ground also left something to be desired - fine gravel that stuck everywhere and dispersed perfectly onto everything surrounding us with large raindrops.
During the heavy rain, we crawled into Asap and thought about a master plan. One thing was certain: we needed another campsite. At least the dinner at the Greek restaurant around the corner was truly delicious, not to mention the excellent service.
Not quite knowing what to do, we strolled to the already emptying beach and enjoyed the last rays of sunshine of the day.
