Day 11, from Agüimes to Las Palmas

Day 11, from Agüimes to Las Palmas, we started shortly after 10:00, first to the nearest coffee place for breakfast. Then we made our way back towards Las Palmas and rode along a beautiful country road through very impressive landscapes. Unfortunately, the GPS recording had an interruption, so today there are two map sections of the route. You just have to mentally put them together. In total, it was nearly 50 km with 700 meters of altitude that we rode in 2 1/2 hours. The Calima and the rather cool headwind made it a bit uncomfortable at times. After Telde, we rode up the route we already knew, between the volcanoes, just like on the way there when we reached the highest point at Las Palmas University, so again today. This time, we had a fast descent in the opposite direction down to the port of Las Palmas and then through unbearable traffic and a maze of streets to the beach near our hotel. All in all, today's stage was rather unspectacular, but still beautiful and varied in terms of landscape.

To end the day, we had a wonderful restaurant on the beach with a view of the bay, good food, and a relaxed atmosphere.
