Again this weekend, we were on the road, this time to the island of Penang in the northwest of the country. So on Saturday morning, we got on the bus again and this time we were on the road for six and a half hours. I'm starting to not enjoy bus rides anymore. Then we took the ferry and headed to the island. The crossing took about 20 minutes, and the approach to the city made the anticipation grow. We decided to walk the 20 minutes from the ferry to the hostel, and that was a great decision! We walked through some beautiful streets and alleys and passed by amazing houses, so I immediately fell in love with the city. The hostel was also really cool, clean, and cozy, I can only recommend it (it was called Ryokan Muntri Boutique Hostel). However, we were only there briefly because we wanted to go back to the city right away. On the way, we passed by some Chinese festival, where some people were dancing and everyone else was dancing along, it looked like Chinese Zumba. We were also asked if we wanted to dance along, but it was too hot for me. In Little India (the first one here that I really liked), we had dinner. Unfortunately, my stomach didn't like the bus ride and my eating habits during it, so we had to go back to the hostel. But we went out again and found a nice bar where we enjoyed a glass of wine. It was even affordable! Then it was time for bed, there was a lot planned for the next day.
