07.08+08.08. Travel to Juarez, Mexico

Today it's not as warm as the past few days, it's raining a lot (24 degrees). 

Let's go to the city center to the Houston train station, no one is taking the train here, so there are hardly any.

We take the 'Amtrek', it goes from right to left, or from left to right across the USA. So it's a verrrrrry long journey. The train is quite comfortable, air-conditioned, cozy seats, plenty of legroom. I find it much more pleasant than our 10-hour flight.

7:00 PM departure

The first stop is San Antonio, by chance I find out that we have a layover here from 11:00 PM to 2:45 AM. I'm told as a tip that there is a nice 'river walk' not far from here, it's quite pretty and a last chance to stretch our legs. There are even more delicious cockroaches running around here. The people are all super friendly, you can quickly strike up a conversation.

Arrive in El Paso at 3:30 PM. So we've been traveling for 20 hours! 

Our grandma and aunt pick us up at the train station, last time we saw them was in 2013. We are soooooooo excited!!

It's hot, but not as humid anymore.
