Back in Windhoek

After my trip, I was warmly welcomed and it was nice to see the volunteers again. From Monday to Thursday, I mainly helped Jeannie in her kindergarten by painting or beautifying the classrooms. Other than that, I did sports, went salsa dancing, or explored the city. Unfortunately, on Thursday afternoon, I caught another infection that laid me up until Saturday. In the last week, most of the new volunteers also arrived, who all make a nice impression.

Since the first departure is coming up the day after tomorrow, yesterday we all went together to a lodge outside the city to enjoy the sunset with a drink. Tomorrow, on the last evening, we will have a barbecue together again and then we will have to say goodbye soon 😔 But most of the volunteers come from Aachen, so they are only a short distance away.

Actually, school should have started again this week, but since in the first week after the holidays there are as few children as in the last week before the holidays and hardly any lessons take place, I will go to the soup kitchen again this week and also join Jeannie's project. From next week, I will go back to my school for another 1.5 weeks. It's crazy how quickly time flies, I can still hardly believe it.
