Day 20: Let's go to Istria!

Today is departure day for us.

We leave the beautiful resort and head back over the big bridge to the mainland. We really liked Krk and finally enjoyed the great weather in the last few days. Our destination today is Rovinj in Istria. We drive for about 2.5 hours and set up. After that, we drive into the city. We explore the old town on foot.

Narrow, cobblestone streets lead uphill to a church.

From there you have a great view of the islands and the bay.

We eat ice cream and buy olive oil at the market.

Marik discovers a large playground and wants to go there. We let him play for a while. Leo watches curiously and soaks up all the impressions of the surroundings. She is now a very relaxed baby. Traveling doesn't bother her at all and she is always cheerful and curious. Marik also enjoys traveling. He hardly ever gets homesick. The only thing he really misses is our cat Mia. We often have to show him pictures of her on the phone.

After our exploration tour, we quickly go shopping.

Back at the campsite, we light the grill and spend a relaxed evening at the caravan.

Our pitch is only a few meters from the beach. We watch an angler trying to catch fish in the twilight. Thankfully, he shows us a freshly caught sea bream.
